The American Society of Magical Negroes is a comedic take on being black in America. It introduces the idea of a secret society of black Americans that placate to white America to make them feel comfortable with the overall black presence, which keeps black people safe. In this fantasy tale, a young man named Aren, played by actor Justice Smith, is inducted into the Society to be the newest recruit to work his magic and ease the discomfort of white America.
