Half Baked 2 Has Completed Filming
The Half Baked franchise has wrapped up filming for the sequel to the 1998 marijuana inspired movie. Unfortunately, Dave Chappelle nor Jim Bruer will make an appearance in Half Baked 2. These two celebrities were leading roles in the original, so it’s uncertain how the sequel will play out without them.
The movie was filmed in Baton Rouge, LA. The only original cast member in this sequel will be Rachel True, who played Mary Jane in the original Half Baked. Others to join the cast will be Dexter Darden, Moses Storm, Ramona Young, Ash Santos, Joel Courtney and David Koechner. It’s really unsure why after almost 25 years they decided to create a sequel to this movie without any of the original cast.
Glen Ross, the General Manager and Executive Vice President of Universal 1440 Entertainment says, “We are thrilled to announce the next chapter in Half Baked, with new characters and a hilarious story that is sure to satisfy followers of the original film while attracting a whole new generation of fans.” He continues, “The sequel features a talented young cast alongside Rachel True reprising her role as the fan-favorite ‘Mary Jane.’ We can’t wait to show audiences where the story goes from here.”
